For the last 15 years, Joel Vidovic has been committed to the responsible and ethical application of the science of applied behavior analysis to assist individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities in their pursuit of happiness. Joel has a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Ohio State University and has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2006. Prior to arriving in Toledo, Joel worked as an Educational Consultant for several large public school districts in the San Francisco Bay Area. He currently serves as the Behavior Management Director for the Autism MODEL School located in Toledo, OH- a public charter school serving approximately 110 students on the autism spectrum. In his role at The Autism MODEL School, Joel develops, disseminates, and evaluates educational programming for students in the the areas of language/communication, adaptive behavior, independent living skills, reading, writing, and mathematics. Joel also remains an active member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International and served on the article review committee for the National Professional Development Center On Autism Spectrum Disorders, thereby contributing to their development of their 2014 publication, “Evidence-Based Practices for Children, Youth, and Young Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder”. He has delivered over 40 professional presentations at local, state, and national-level conferences.
