Our speciality is in delivering content, training, and hands-on guidance to people who want experience in using applications in Applied Behavior Analysis and positive reinforcement training with a variety of types of animals in human care. By hosting a variety of smaller focused workshops throughout the year we will be able to provide in depth educational opportunities for our members and the general public! If you were planning on attending The October Event, don’t worry – we will be hosting a workshop on October 14th & 15th.
Thanks for your support and remember, “When we know better we do better!”
Have you been active in our membership program or looking for tools to help you apply your knowledge of Positive Reinforcement training techniques? This is the workshop for you! We will be spending two days working with an array of animals both exotic and domestic. Space is limited to promote focused training and guidance.
Topics for the weekend will include applying positive reinforcement and Applied Behavior Analysis to exotics, defining and developing individualized training plans to take with you, hands on training, and more!
Each day will run from 9am – 5pm with 4:00pm-5:00pm serving as an hour of open training.
Lunch will be provided.

LOCATION
The workshop features one on one training with Lara Joseph and the presentation of live education animals inside the center’s unique facility—a 10,000 sq. ft. former greenhouse, converted into a free-flight animal enrichment and educational center. Attendees will learn about some of the animal behavior, training and health issues that can present during the life of the animal through this hands-on workshop.
