We have four ostrich chicks here at The Animal Behavior Center for training and exercise and to identify ostrich enrichment. They are three weeks old and here from Indian Creek Zoo in Lambertville, Michigan. We are quickly learning about ostrich, their reinforcers, how they move, and their daily behaviors, which change each and every day.
We’ve noticed that they are attracted to green. They are attracted to contrasting colors. They tend to move in a flock. They find comfort in being together and so much more.
